Easy Easter Project

Well this year I thought to myself, why put decorated eggs in a basket, when they could go in an egg carton?

So for the first time since kindergarten, I have actually made something out of a used egg carton.

I painted the outside of the bottom lavender, and the inside lid lavender, with cream for the egg recesses.

The top is covered with felt, and embellished with buttons, gems, and egg cut outs, with a pink fluffy chick stuck on top.

Easy, so easy, the kids could make it! The only thing I paid for was the chick, in a set of 9 (2 different colours) for $2.99 and the felt, one sheet for $1. The paint is left over from painting my wardrobe door knobs.

cute!!! I am not really a crafty gal but trhat is adorable! I want one just to keep my eggs in all the time LOL and OMG Starry that Sinead O'Connor song brought tears to my eyes! I am deeply in love with her voice ooo I am adding her to my play list! the duet with Shane MacGowan!

I thought about making one for permanent egg storage too, but thought I'd probably have to use contact inside so it can be wiped up when (if) any break or go off (not saying that happens in my kitchen - oh okay it does!)

oh Mandy, aren't you going to buy any for you? I always buy some for me because I have found now that I am an adult, I only get chocolate off my parents, so no hard feelings, I just go about buying a stock pile for me! Of course I buy for others too!

Hi Diane, well I probably wouldn't get half as much creating done if I wasn't hyperactive - well that might be the wrong word as I can sit still to work, but I always must be doing something, I can't just sit and watch telly, I must be doing something else as well!

Very pretty colours! :D And an egg tray makes perfect sense to store eggs, doesn't it? :D
