My Rainy Day Creation

I received these vintage buttons several months ago, and made these earrings up in five minutes today, I am thinking they might be for me, since I love green earrings (they bring out my eyes). I have four of the same buttons with purple hearts, and one pink one (shame, wish I had two, I guess the pink will make a necklace!).

The wet and stormy weather has driven me out of my office, since I have to cover things with a plastic tarp and put a bucket under the damp area on the ceiling... perilously close to my computer.... the desktop has to stay there but at least my laptop can be brought out here, in the warm dining room.

Winter is beginning to take its toll on my hands, I have wonderful hand creams, but when should I use them... I don't like it when I'm going to work with beads as I don't want greasy fingerprints everywhere, same with using the computer, and reading books.... does anyone else have this problem? I put it on before bed, but rubbed my eye early in the night... stung like crazy, tears ran down my face... that'll teach me.

It is however good reading weather, I love being snuggled up reading in winter, though I am shocked to discover the last five books I've read are classified as Young Readers or Young Adult books.... is that why I've struggled with my current book The Witches of Eastwick, I found when I got to page 14 that I had drifted through a terrible amount of the text and will have to give myself a stern admonishment to 'pay attention!'

Anyway, its time to stoke up the fire, and I confess, also to get myself over to facebook to play Treasure Madness....

Starry they are amazing and I am fascinated that you could 'knock' them up in just minutes. A gorgeous match to your eyes and colouring makes them perfect for you.
The weather seems to be proving to be both beneficial [allowing you to read] and detrimental [water leakage]
There is also the problem of the right times to use your hand creams. Given that they are essential, please let me know if you find the solution. I have the same problem; even cracks opening up. Uhhh!
Fire is burning brightly as I type although there is ash on the hearth.
Big hug my friend xo

Hello, Ann Yo, I am sorry I think I accidentally deleted your comment while I used google translate.
I hope you are well.

Hi Chez,

well the handcream... I don't know, I will keep trying just before bed, and also in the day after I have my shower. One of my creams seems to rub in a lot better and not wash off when you wash your hands. I hope your hands stop cracking, I hope they stay nice and clean and not get infection. My hands look like they belong to a much older woman but I know they always come good again in spring.

By the way, I seem to be having my best ever business month already and its only the 11th... I am hoping for more sales during the etsy Christmas in July sale running July 15th to 25th.

Happy dreaming by the fire xoxox

Lovely earring, Starry. Your vintage buttons are always so lovely.

I don't like hand creams for precisely the same reason - I hate to leave marks on things I'm working on. For me, the best time to apply the cream is just before I go to bed. :)
